Lightning 2-0 in series against Carolina after Tuesday night win
RALEIGH, N.C. / NHL — Although only putting 15 shots on goal all night, the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.
After a scoreless first 20 minutes, Alex Killorn secured Tampa’s lead with a shot 7 minutes into the second period. He moved around the defensive zone and threw a shot toward Alex Nedeljkovic with Anthony Cirelli setting a screen.
Tampa then doubled the lead about eight minutes into the third with the help of Cirelli yet again.
Carolina came back with a goal with 90 seconds remaining in the third. The final minute and a half were played entirely...
