TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Another Democrat has signed up in an effort to unseat Republican US Senator Marco Rubio. Former Orlando Police Chief, Val Demings, 64, has released her campaign ad. It was shot in front of the Jacksonville church she grew up in. Demings already has a million dollars in her campaign account. Rubio has nearly $4 million. Fried faces financial scrutiny days after announcing run for Florida governor

Less than 24 hours after Commissioner of Agriculture Democrat Nikki Fried filed to run for governor, a Republican senator wants to dig into her finances. CNN – John Warner, a longtime US Senator from Virginia, has died aged 94, a former staff member said. Warner, who served in Senate for three decades, died peacefully of heart failure on Tuesday. He was surrounded by his wife Jeanne Warner and other family members, the former staff member said. Warner served in the US Navy during World War II and the Marines during the Korean War.
