TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Another Democrat has signed up in an effort to unseat Republican US Senator Marco Rubio. Former Orlando Police Chief, Val Demings, 64, has released her campaign ad. It was shot in front of the Jacksonville church she grew up in. Demings already has a million dollars in her campaign account. Rubio has nearly $4 million. MIAMI, Fla. [NBC6] – City of Miami commissioner Ken Russell plans to challenge Marco Rubio for his US Senate Seat in 2022, he announced via social media on Thursday. The District 2 commissioner, who is running as a Democrat, said he is “running for US Senate to defeat @marcorubio. Together, let’s clean up the Senate and restore our country’s character,” the post read.
