COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A 90-year-old Marco Island man has been reported missing, officials said. Robert Ward was last seen in the area near the 1000 block of Bald Eagle Drive in Marco Island, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He was wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Ward is 6’01” white man, bald, and weighs about 160 pounds. He has a birthmark above his left eye. MARCO ISLAND, Fla.– Dickman’s Point is a beautiful barrier island off of Marco. On Tuesday morning, Florida Adventures tour guides Colleen Gill and Captain Marco collected at least 50 pounds of trash off Dickman’s Point. “Absolutely terrible it’s disgusting, you show up there on a Monday and there is trash everywhere, it’s ridiculous,” Captain Marco said. MARCO ISLAND, Fla.– A plane was caught on video getting close to the beach and buildings near Marco Island. According to Naples Control Tower officials, planes must be 1,000 feet over structures or people in populated areas. Over the water on the other hand, there isn’t a limit. When someone breaks the rules, things are then handed over to the FAA. The plane caught on video is owned by Icon Aviation and it is also registered to the company.
