LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A Lee County deputy shot and killed a dog on Palm Beach Boulevard and SR 31 Friday afternoon. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said a man, who had a dog with him, was overdosing on the side of the road. When medics and deputies arrived on scene the dog was being aggressive towards them. Medics couldn’t give aide because of the dog, so a deputy brought over food to distract the dog, and it still wasn’t having it. Car crashes & flips next to Fort Myers home

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car that crashed into the front of a home on New York Avenue in Fort Myers late Thursday night. Multiple LCSO cruisers were seen at the location where a white sedan flipped and hit a home and at least one other vehicle. NBC2 crews saw a damaged LCSO K9 cruiser at the scene. It’s not known if the damage was caused in the crash. Tow truck drivers arrived to the scene just before 2 a.m. to remove the flipped sedan. Additional information about the crash is not known....
