Iglesia Pentecostes Peniel Church is hoping to move from a small lot in the middle of Naples Park on 107th avenue North to over five acres of land of Randall Blvd.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A fire destroyed a home in Golden Gate Estates and the family needs the community’s help to recover.
The family lost everything when the raging flames engulfed their home on 6th Avenue Southeast around 11 p.m. on Friday.
Two people were inside the house and got out safe, but a dog named ‘Blue’ did not make it out.
The family needs donations since nothing was salvageable from the rubble.
The owner of the home, Maddy, works at Golden Gate Animal Clinic.

GOLDEN GATE ESTATES, Fla. – There’s an ongoing problem on 29th Ave SW in Golden Gate Estates: Drivers are treating homeowner’s mailboxes like piñata’s.
Saturday, resident Hope Daley said she was on her way to dinner when she saw her mailbox knocked over.
“I was just kind of surprised that there wasn’t a note or something,” said Davis. “This person made sure to it was by the cement post but they really didn’t do anything else.”

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A fire fully engulfed a Golden Gate Estates home on 6th Avenue South late Friday evening.
North Collier and Greater Naples Fire crews responded to the home fire. Witnesses on scene said two people made it out of the home uninjured.
A dog died and another one was rescued by firefighters, according to witnesses.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Golden Gate Estates residents said that tires have been seen floating in canals recently.
Over the weekend, people who live on 24th Avenue Northeast, off of 8th Street, saw several commercial-sized tires submerged or floating in the canal.
Dumping trash in a canal or anywhere other than an authorized drop-off site is illegal. Those who are caught illegally dumping trash can face a $500 fine per violation.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Over a week has passed since a brush fire decimated their home and the Perez family is still picking up the pieces.
“We’re sleeping and we’re just trying to piece everything back together as we go along,” Johnathan Perez said.
The brush fire, that ignited on 14th Avenue, left behind ash, burnt debris and damaged memories.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A 1.5 acre brush fire has sparked on 24th Avenue near DeSoto Boulevard in Golden Gate Estates.
The Florida Forest Service and Greater Naples fire units are responding to the fire. FFS officials have confirmed it is currently 50 percent contained.
Crews are working to put water on the fire. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is also assisting fire crews.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Fire crews have been working around the clock to put out the brush fire ravaging areas of 14th Avenue in Golden Gate Estates.
More than 900 acres have burned and as of Wednesday morning and the brush fire is 80 percent contained.
Fire officials are remininding people who live in areas prone to brush fires that burning yard debris is strongly discouraged, espescially during the dry season.
Yard waste fires that get out of hand are one of the leading causes of wildfires in Florida, according to the Florida Department of Agriculture.

A massive brush fire tore through Golden Gate estates, reaching 1,500 acres at it’s peak.
Two homes were destroyed in the blaze and two more were damaged.
Members of the community have sent officials ‘thank you’ notes to express their gratitude for their service.
