Car slams into utility pole in Naples, causing nearly $40k in damage

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A car slammed into a utility pole on Progress Avenue near Industrial Boulevard in Naples. Rescue crews with the Greater Naples Fire Rescue responded to the crash. Progress Avenue will be closed for at least two hours at Airport Road and Industrial Boulevard as Florida Power and Light crews work to restore power, deputies with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said. Florida Power & Light Company recently finished construction of the new Rodeo Solar Energy Center.
