Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried expected to announce run for governor next week
Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried is expected to announce she will run for governor next week, sources close to the matter said.
Fried, who is a Democrat, is expected to make a “major announcement” at a news conference on Tuesday.
Fried would go up against former Gov. Charlie Crist in the 2022 Primary, though early polls favor Crist.
Democrat Annette Taddeo is also considering running.
