COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A fire fully engulfed a Golden Gate Estates home on 6th Avenue South late Friday evening. North Collier and Greater Naples Fire crews responded to the home fire. Witnesses on scene said two people made it out of the home uninjured. A dog died and another one was rescued by firefighters, according to witnesses. Red Cross responded to help 5 people affected by Cape Coral fire

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A fire erupted in an apartment on Hancock Creek Boulevard in The Crossing in Cape Coral early Thursday morning, officials said. Five people were displaced by the fire, a spokesperson for the American Red Cross said. Local volunteers from the Disaster Action Team helped the two adults and three children coordinate a place to stay and other emergency aid. The Red Cross also provided emergency financial assistance as well as health and mental health services. Ten fire and rescue units responded to the fire. No injuries were reported. Fire crews respond to Corkscrew Elementary School

NAPLES, Fla. — Rescue crews responded to Corkscrew Elementary School on Wednesday morning after reports of a fire. The fire crews were dispatched to 1065 Oil Well Road in Naples just before 7:30 a.m. It’s not known what caused the fire or the extent of damages. Lehigh Acres crews respond to propane grill fire

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.– Lehigh crews responded to a grill fire on Tuesday afternoon. Officials said the fire started from a propane tank on the patio of the home, off 19th Street Southwest. The flames did not spread to the house. No one was injured during the incident. Lehigh Acres Fire Control posted a reminder on their social media, cautioning people that “grills should be set up away from your home or other structures just in case something unexpected occurs”. The National Weather Service is issuing a red flag warning for inland Lee County, inland Charlotte County and DeSoto County between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday. Red flag warnings are issued when critical wildfire conditions are occurring or expected to develop shortly. LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A person is being flown to the hospital by helicopter after being badly burned in a fire. Crews with South Trail Fire and Lehigh Fire are responding to the scene at home on Lake Meadow Drive in Gateway. The fire is out, officials said. Rescue crews rush to extinguish Fort Myers fire

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fire crews responded to a home that erupted in flames off of Alico Road early Wednesday morning.
