FORT MYERS, Fla.– Fort Myers Police Officers responded to a shooting at 2475 Central Avenue on June 1st.
Police found a locked blue Ford SUV with a man shot inside, when they arrived.
Officials broke the drivers side window to open the door and found Montrell Amari O’Neal inside.
He had a large gunshot wound on his forehead, according to police. O’Neal was pronounced dead at the scene.
While investigating, officers found a black Toyota Camry and a white Toyota Sequoia with bullet holes in the area.

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – Investigators are searching for a suspect involved a burglary at a Lehigh Acres Popeyes.
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said the burglary happened early Monday morning at the Popeyes located at 2710 Lee Boulevard. The suspect used a large pair of channel locks to remove the lock from the front door.
Crime Stoppers confirmed the suspect spent time hiding in shrubbery outside the business before going inside.

ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. — Three people with gunshot wounds were found dead inside a Publix Supermarket in Royal Palm Beach, officials said.
Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the shooting that left one adult male, one adult female, and one child dead inside the Publix in the 1100 block of Royal Palm Beach Boulevard. The shooter is one of the dead.
Law Enforcement arrived at the scene of the shooting around 11:39 a.m. on Thursday.

On Saturday, June 12, officers will be busting riders who are not following the rules.
Reckless ATV drivers are a persistent problem in several areas across the city, according to officers.
Riders are often violating the rules of the road or trespassing on vacant lots.
Also, operating an ATV anywhere in Cape Coral is illegal — unless the rider owns the property they are on or it is street-legal with a valid license plate.

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Fort Myers police are trying to identify two men who stole from a Fort Myers 7-Eleven convenience store while an employee was having an overdose.
Officers released images of the two who reportedly committed grand theft from the store, located at 2265 Colonial Boulevard, on February 17, 2021.
Investigators said the thieves were seen on store surveillance stealing multiple cases of beer and cigarette cartons, resulting in about $15,000 in total losses.

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – The man accused of torching a Lehigh Acres Family Dollar in February won’t face charges for the crime.
The State Attorney’s Office said there is not enough evidence to charge Josue Vazquez-Reyes with crimes related to the fire, which investigators said was the result of arson.
Vazquez-Reyes is a former employee of the Family Dollar that was burned down. Lee County deputies had said Vazquez called 911 to report the fire.

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.– A Charlotte County woman was taking a Lyft to Fort Myers on Monday to pickup her vehicle up from the shop with her two children.
She said her Lyft driver stopped for gas shortly after picking her up. After filling up his vehicle, they drove on the highway for less than 10 minutes.
The woman said the driver claimed he needed to stop at his house to get a different credit card so he could buy more gas.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, a home in the 2100 block of 52nd Lane SW in Naples is under investigation.

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A Cape Coral homeowner said a man was caught on camera spraying his Ring surveillance camera with spray paint twice.
The home is located near Pelican Boulevard and SW 44th Street.
The homeowner said the paint ruined the camera and left paint on the house.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A man’s prosthetic leg was stolen after he was hit by a car in St. Petersburg on Monday.
Christopher Allen Harris, 49, was crossing 5th Avenue N in the crosswalk when he was hit by a car.
The impact of the crash caused Harris’ prosthetic leg to dislodge and hit another car that was driving eastbound on 5th Avenue N.
Before officers were able to get to the scene, Harris’ prosthetic leg was stolen.
St. Petersburg police said Joshua Albert Grimmer, 21, was driving the 2004 Infinity G35 that hit Harris.
