LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – Investigators are searching for a suspect involved a burglary at a Lehigh Acres Popeyes. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said the burglary happened early Monday morning at the Popeyes located at 2710 Lee Boulevard. Driver seriously injured after dump truck flips on SR 82 in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A driver was seriously injured after a dump truck hauling gravel flipped on SR 82 in Collier County Thursday morning. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed SR 82 is closed in both directions near Gator Slough Road due to the rollover crash. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and said troopers believe the dump truck was the one vehicle involved. Firefighters find sinking boat near Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Firefighters rescued a person from sinking boat back to land in Fort Myers early Thursday morning. The Fort Myers Fire Department said its crews responded around 12:47 a.m. to a watercraft distress. It was reported that the boat lost power and was taking on water near I-75 and SR 31. The boater was found and no injuries were reported, according to fire crews. The boat was without plugs and FMFD helped tow it to downtown at the Yacht Basin. 7-foot gator found roaming post office lobby in Florida

SPRING HILL, Fla. (AP) — A 7-foot alligator was found inside a Florida Post Office. The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post the gator was found at the US Post Office facility at 8501 Philatelic Road in Spring Hill. Sheriff’s officials said someone stopped by the post office about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday to drop off a package and saw the 7-foot gator roaming around the lobby. Two men steal from Fort Myers 7-Eleven while employee overdoses

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Fort Myers police are trying to identify two men who stole from a Fort Myers 7-Eleven convenience store while an employee was having an overdose. Officers released images of the two who reportedly committed grand theft from the store, located at 2265 Colonial Boulevard, on February 17, 2021.
