Biden asks intelligence community to ‘redouble’ efforts to determine COVID-19 origins

WASHINGTON (NBC News) — President Joe Biden said he has asked the intelligence community to redouble their efforts to get to the bottom of where the COVID-19 virus originated after new reports raised questions about whether it spread from a Wuhan laboratory. Moderna trial showing promise for expanding age requirement next month

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Moderna is one step closer to allowing more children to roll up their sleeves for a COVID-19 vaccine. Their most recent clinical trial — involving more than 3,700 people — showed a 100 percent vaccine effectiveness in the group that was vaccinated. After the first dose, the vaccine was found to be 93 percent effective against infection. Moderna officials said that their vaccine is “safe and highly effective” in 12 to 17 year olds. CDC investigates reports of heart problems in young vaccine recipients

The Centers For Diseases Control and Prevention [CDC] is investigating claims of heart problems in young people who have received mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. During a session on May 17, the CDC concluded that while there are relatively few reports of the condition, health experts need to more closely examine the link between myocarditis and the vaccines. So far, the cases seem to appear primarily in adolescents and young adults and predominantly in males.
