LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Lee Health’s mobile pediatric vaccination clinic has been on the move all week and it’s latest stop is in Cape Coral. Anyone 12 and under is able to get a free COVID-19 vaccine at the walk-up clinic in Cape Coral on Friday, June 11. A parent or authorized guardian must accompany a minor for vaccination. Moderna files for authorization of COVID vaccine in teens ages 12-17

Florida Department of Health will no longer release daily COVID-19 data

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health will no longer release daily COVID-19 data. State officials said Florida is transitioning into the next phase of the COVID-19 response. As more people get vaccinated and new case positivity rate decreases, FDOH has moved to a weekly reporting schedule for key COVID-19 data. LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The race to vaccinate is slowing down to nearly a complete stop in Lee County. Some people are showing up for their first dose but then skipping their second, Lee Health officials said. Record number of people going to Cape COVID testing site

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Even with COVID-19 cases going down, the Curative testing site in Cape Coral has been seeing a record number of people. With the testing site at CenturyLink Sports Complex in Fort Myers closed, more people have been going to the site in Cape Coral, located at 1020 Cultural Park Blvd, across from City Hall. About two weeks ago, the Cape Curative site was averaging 150 people. Now, they’re seeing about 250 people per day. Lee County vaccinations starting back up at Edison Mall

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Vaccinations are starting back up in Lee County today, June 3. People who made an appointment to get their first or second doses of the coronavirus vaccine will get their shot at Edison Mall. Moderna asking for full FDA approval of its COVID vaccine

WASHINGTON / CNBC — Moderna officials asked the Food and Drug Administration to fully approve it’s coronavirus vaccine on Tuesday, making it the second drugmaker in the U.S. to do so. If approved, Moderna would be able to market their vaccine directly to consumers. The mRNA vaccine is currently on the U.S. market under an emergency use authorization, which was granted by the FDA in December. It gives conditional approval based on two months of safety data.
