
Rescue crews rush to extinguish Fort Myers fire
FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fire crews responded to a home that erupted in flames off of Alico Road early Wednesday morning.
The blaze ignited around 3:40 a.m.
Everyone inside the house was able to get out safely.
The flames are under control, according to firefighters at the scene. Crews are still working on extinguishing some smolders in the walls of the home.
NBC2 crews saw two pick-up trucks with fire damage at the scene of the fire. The front of both trucks were melted and charred by the flames.
Fire investigators with the San Carlos Fire Department are working to figure out how the fire started.
