Record number of people going to Cape COVID testing site
CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Even with COVID-19 cases going down, the Curative testing site in Cape Coral has been seeing a record number of people.
With the testing site at CenturyLink Sports Complex in Fort Myers closed, more people have been going to the site in Cape Coral, located at 1020 Cultural Park Blvd, across from City Hall.
About two weeks ago, the Cape Curative site was averaging 150 people. Now, they’re seeing about 250 people per day.
As for COVID-19 vaccines, which are available at the site as well, they have been able to vaccinate about 200 people.
Chief Lamb with the Cape Coral Fire Department said they will continue to offer the service as long as it is needed.
