Pickup truck sparks brush fire in Charlotte County
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A pickup truck caught fire Tuesday afternoon sparking a nearly half an acre brush fire in Charlotte County.
According to the Charlotte County Fire Department, the truck caught fire while the driver was taking a lunch break and clearing brush along a fence line.
The flames quickly spread throughout a wooded area on the property of the Burn Store Water Treatment Plant.
Fire crews were able to safely contain the blaze.
