Naples City Manager resigns during heated council meeting
NAPLES, Fla. – Naples City Manager Charles Chapman resigned during Thursday’s council meeting.
City officials said there were a lot of disagreements during the meeting. Councilman Ted Blankenship said during the meeting that he thought the city manager should resign.
Chapman made the decision to resign immediately. The council did vote unanimously to accept Chapman’s resignation, city officials said.
City officials said Dana Souza was named interim city manager.
