Missing boy found dead in Jacksonville by authorities
DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — A 4-year-old boy that was reported missing on Monday was found dead, officials said.
Gavin Douyon was found dead on Monday night, a spokesperson with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.
The boy was last seen by his family between 5:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. By 5:59 p.m., his family had reported him missing, officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
At 9:20 p.m., Gavin was found lifeless inside a retention pond near Chester Creek Road, JSO officials said. Foul play is not suspected.
Gavin and his family are from New York and were visiting relatives for the holiday weekend, First Coast News reported.
