Investigators rule Charlotte County house fire was arson
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.– Investigators determined a fire at a home under construction off Egret Place in Charlotte County was set intentionally.
The fire happened at the end of February. The smoke damage was limited to the garage area.
At the end of April on the same construction site, a truck was caught on surveillance video backing into a port-o-potty multiple times until it tipped over.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s office said there have been several incidents of trespassing and damage committed on this specific property.
Neighbors we spoke to said they think the property owners are possibly being targeted due to the repeated crimes.
