Forecast: More clouds around Thursday but staying warm
One of the biggest changes you’ll notice in our Southwest Florida sky today is more clouds blending in with the sunshine.
For some of us, the extra clouds combined with our winds becoming more northerly will result in a slight dip in temperatures.
Daytime highs will range from the upper 80s to lower 90s today, so it’s still going to be hot, just not as hot as the last few days.
By the afternoon, some pockets of rain and thunderstorms will develop, but the highest rain chances will target our inland areas near Lake O.
Tonight, a weak front slides through the area, allowing some drier air to seep south into Southwest Florida from Friday into the weekend.
You’ll notice the biggest effect from the drier air in the evenings and early mornings with lows dipping into the mid to upper 60s over the weekend through early next week.
Our afternoons will be sunny, hot and breezy with highs at 90 degrees Saturday and Sunday.
