Face masks no longer required at Might Mussels games in Hammond Stadium

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Hammond Stadium will no longer require fans to wear masks at baseball games starting June 1.

According to a statement from the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, Hammond Stadium will be increasing capacity restrictions from 28% to around 90% and will no longer require face masks for fans.

Officials said they will still ‘recommend’ masks for fans, but will no longer make it a requirement.

Some Might Mussels employees, however, will still be required to wear masks and gloves.

Hammond Stadium officials said they are following recommendations from Major League Baseball, Lee County health and safety, and the CDC.

The Mussels are hosting “The Office” Night Friday, June 4 featuring a meet & greet with Kate Flannery, who played Meredith on the show.
