Black bear found lounging inside Fort Myers business
FORT MYERS, Fla. – A young black bear was found inside a Fort Myers business on Tuesday morning.
Fort Myers police said the bear was found inside of Hurricane Safe Shutters off Earl Road.
The bear was seen calmly hanging out inside the business, lying on the floor.
Fort Myers police monitored the bear until officers with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission were able to respond and relocate the bear to its natural habitat.
FWC said the bear is being taken to a remote area of Collier County for relocation.
