At least one injured in overnight McGregor Boulevard crash

FORT MYERS, Fla. — At least one person was hurt in a crash that temporarily shut down a portion of McGregor Boulevard overnight.

Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department responded to the scene near Sandra Drive.

A single vehicle slammed into a palm tree, officers said. The driver was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital. Their condition is not known.

The crash shut down McGregor Boulevard at Sandra Drive for about two hours as officers investigated the crash. Investigators were seen taking photos of the damaged car.

McGregor has since been reopened.
